Sanitation
There are more then 180 students attending Ngateu Secondary School and only two latrines. You can fill in the picture. It is obvious that this needs to be improved. In 2008 we are designing a better solution. Part of that design is waiting on the completion of the water project. If it is possible that there can be sufficient water to support flush toilets, we will aim for that. If water is short, we will seek other, more effective methods to improve the current situation.
In addition, by bringing lunch to the students, Safi School Project has added a need for appropriate sanitation and disposal of food related items. In October 2008 we will be reviewing this to better know what exactly needs to be addressed.
